Barcelona Beaches will satisfy the range of interests seeking high activity, family fun, sunbathing, relaxation, swimming in calm waters, and nudist freedom.

Sant Sebestià Beach
One of the oldest and longest beaches in the city, it is home to the iconic W Hotel Barcelona. This white sand beach offers many fun-filled activities. It’s also a popular choice for men and kids, in part because it’s close to Barceloneta Metro Station very nearby and has a large selection of bus lines. Sant Sebastià also has an area designed for people with disabilities. There are volunteers that accompany users during July, August, and the first week of September from 11 am to 2 pm. There are also walkways to the water, an adapted changing room, and a shower with a chair. Other features are lockers, drinks & ice-cream kiosks, a Sports area, a Nudist area, showers, restrooms and a Montjuïc Cable Car Station (Torre de Sant Sebastià) MAP

Barcelonetta Beach
This long beach, which started out as a fishing village in the city, maybe the perfect place to sunbathe in Barcelona. Considering the history and modern art sculptures, it’s a favorite for tourists strolling the waterfront. With Barceloneta Metro Station and many bus lines nearby, most people come here via public transport. It’s a great place to view the western sunset and maritime excursions from Barcelona. The beach is equipped with ping-pong tables, volleyball courts, a Foosball table, an outdoor gym, a beach library, an information center, restaurants, parasol & deck chairs, locker & bike rentals, showers, and public restrooms. Mar Bella Beach
It was created shortly before the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games to accompany the coastal urban redevelopment. This beach is mostly visited by young people, and residents of the Sant Martí district and includes a bike lane. Many of its attendees practice nudism in the dedicated zone. It’s also a favorite amongst the LGBT public.
Other leisure activities nearby include a basketball court, skateboard area, and ping-pong table. On the west end of the beach, there is a water sports center. You can rent basketballs, volleyball courts, ping-pong tables, skates, parasols & deckchairs, and lockers, plus there are showers and public restrooms. MAP

Bogatell Beach
This popular was renovated just before the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. Older tourists and families appreciate Bogatell for its high security. You will see many people riding bikes and playing beach volleyball or ping-pong. This beach is close to the Olympic Port in the Poble Nou district with parking spaces close by. You can purchase drinks & ice-cream, parasol & deckchair rental, lockers with showers and public restrooms MAP

Nova Icària Beach
Its visitors are usually tourists who like the calm waters. Families with children also frequent the beach and many are residents who walk here. The restaurant is satisfactory for a beach and equipment can be rented for children’s games. The beach has areas for people with disabilities and service to help those with reduced mobility. This area also has walkways to the water, an adapted changing room, and a shower with a chair. You can rent volleyball courts, ping-pong tables, skates, parasols & deckchairs, and lockers, plus there are standard showers and public restrooms. MAP

Sant Miquel Beach
It was created around 1755 and owes its name to its proximity to Sant Miquel del Port Church. Despite its small size. It is one of the busiest beaches, attracting tourists and younger people, it is easily accessible by Metro and bus. Due to its proximity to Sant Sebastià Beach, you may see nudists drift here as well. You can rent basketballs, volleyball courts, ping-pong tables, skates, parasols & deckchairs, and lockers, plus there are showers and public restrooms. MAP

Somorrostro Beach
Near Barcelonetta district, Somorrostro was once a ghetto before being destroyed in anticipation of a visit to the Catalan capital from President Franco in 1966. It has convenient access by public transport. For this reason it is one of the favorite beach areas for young people, tourists, and locals. You can rent volleyball courts, tables, skates, parasols & deck chairs, and lockers, plus there are showers and public restrooms. Children enjoy the Play area. MAP
