Davis Theatre of Performing Arts
DESCRIPTION: Opened in 1930 as the Paramount Theatre movie palace for talkies and Vaudeville shows, this venue has hosted countless patrons. Then in 1976, after the last feature Gone With the Wind the theatre closed its doors. Purchased by Troy University and reopened in 1983 as Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts, it is one of only a few classic theatres remaining in the South. The balcony seats 616 while the main floor seats 584 for a capacity of 1200 seats. There is a full-size orchestra pit in this intimate theatre with excellent acoustics. At this call, the theatre hosts amateur and professional musicals, dramatic productions, chamber music groups, symphony orchestras, dance groups, ballets and instrumental performances.

F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald Museum
DESCRIPTION: This celebrated couple’s legacy is preserved in a modest home where they lived. F. Scott Fitzgerald is best known for The Great Gatsby and his wife, Zelda was artist and author.
