AIR
General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is a midsize passenger airport with attractive shops and cafes. It features many flights to the Midwest and Canada.

Taxis: Yellow Cabs and American United Taxis are just outside the baggage claim area. Car Rentals: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, and National provide service are on the premises. Follow signage exiting the airport to Downtown -- its only a short ride north.
TRAINS
Milwaukee Intermodal Station at 433 West St. Paul Avenue was upgraded with more attractive glass facade, passenger waiting area and features WiFi, All Aboard Cafe, bike racks and lockers, while hosting Amtrak, Greyhound, Megabus, Jefferson Express Bus and taxis. To meet increasing patron demand, an attached Concourse for Amtrak trains is under construction. Daily Amtrak routes hosted are:
Amtrak Hiawatha: Milwaukee-Chicago (14 daily)
Amtrak Empire Builder: Seattle-Minneapolis-Madison-Milwaukee-Chicago (1 daily)

As incremental upgrades complete in 2012-15, Amtrak service in Chicago-Springfield-St. Louis and Chicago-Kalamazoo-Ann Arbor-Detroit corridors are being upgraded to 110 mph and more daily trains. Later this decade, Amtrak service in the St. Louis-Jefferson City-Kansas City and Chicago-Milwaukee-Madison-Minneapolis corridors will be upgraded to 110 mph and more daily trains as well. Milwaukee does not have a Light Rail system, but funding was recently approved to build a Milwaukee Streetcar route circulating downtown.
