Most star placements on the Hollywood Walk of Fame start between 10:30am and 11:30am. In Hollywood, Disney movies premiere at the El Capitan Theater. The Chinese Theater and Arclight Cinedome are favored venues to premiere other movies. The Egyptian Theater hosts a number of lifetime achievement and special screenings for actors and directors. When visiting the Egyptian, Chinese or El Capitan, park in a secured lot behind El Capitan Theater in the 7000 Block of Hollywood Blvd or the Hollywood & Highland complex parking lot. ArcLight Cinedome also has a guarded parking lot. Universal Cineplex also hosts a number of films by Universal Studios.
Stargazing Celebrity Homes
If you plan to stargaze the celebrity homes of Eddie Murphy, Magic Johnson, Denzel Washington, Sidney Poitier, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Janet Jackson and the like, here are a few tips to increase your vicarious enjoyment and protect their privacy:

1. Take a Black Hollywood Tour or general Hollywood tour
2. Marvel at the remarkable homes
3. Take plenty of pictures from a respectful distance
Don’t
1. Enter their driveway or remain parked in front
2. Follow a limousine out of a driveway
Hollywood Hills-Beverly Hills-Holmby Hills-Bel Air
For self-driven views of celebrity homes, start at the Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd to set the mood, then slowly drive west to La Brea Ave, then left and right on Sunset Blvd, and proceed with these drives, which can be taken in any order:
• Sunset Blvd to Beverly Hills
• Santa Monica Blvd from Beverly Hills to I-405 Freeway
• Beverly Blvd northbound
• Canon Blvd northbound
• Benedict Canyon Drive northbound
• Club View Drive
• Bellagio Road
• Side streets off Coldwater Canyon Drive
Mulholland Drive
For unmatched near-aerial views of the Hollywood Hills, Bel Air and a panorama of central LA, start from the 101 Freeway, exit on to Mulholland Drive westbound, then drive slowly in your lane for about 30 minutes. As a courtesy, let other drivers pass you. Exit at the I-405 Freeway to complete the journey.
