ROYAL CARIBBEAN

LIBERTY OF THE SEAS LAUNCH

One of the world's biggest and most imaginative ships, Liberty of the Seas, is the second in Royal Caribbean’s Freedom family of ships. Fully loaded with cutting edge amenities, this 3,634 passenger, 18 deck maritime marvel gives new reasons for veteran cruisers to board again and first-time cruisers will be agape at its over-the-top features.

Concerned that your kids between 1-12 will enjoy it? Not to worry. H2O Zone® interactive water park features multi-colored spouting sculptures and ground geysers that excite the senses even before they get wet — it just looks like fun. The 9-hole miniature golf captivates the kids, while giving you an excuse to practice putting. You can imagine how much endless fun that represents for kids. And when it rains, Adventure Ocean® and the ice-skating rink provide hours of indoor fun for the kids.

Teens line up for FlowRider®, an on-ship, surfing simulator that really delivers. The 30-foot rock-climbing wall has multiple routes and degrees of difficulty to challenge, exercise and excite. And the full-size basketball/volleyball court is a favorite of teens and adults whether competing in tournaments or just shooting. When its time for kid-favorite dining and snacks there’s Johnny Rockets, Ben & Jerry's, and Sorrento’s Pizza. Did we mention the flat screen TVs in every stateroom?

Athletic-minded guys play a little B-ball the first day. What else should be on their activity list? Add a stint in the full-size boxing ring to work the kinks out with a Liberty of the Seas staff member. The ladies often sample Royal Caribbean's Vitality wellness program with a healthy menu of soothing spa treatments and personal trainers.

Singles and couples can also swim laps in one of two large pools. The adults-only Solarium with whirlpool provides views that extend for miles. Those who enjoy gaming might feel a bit like James Bond in the Casino Royale.

A colorful ice-skating show

Skylight chapel is situated on the highest point of the ship.  Want a hassle free wedding plan? Utilize Liberty of the Seas’ wedding planning staff and DJ or hire your own. You’ll dig the Karaoke lounge with state-of-the-art musical accompaniment. The Royal Promenade is four stories high full of boutiques, pubs, and dining. Afterwards take in Arcadia to relax in a Broadway-style theatre with contemporary musical productions.

Sistahs going to dinner

The main dining room is at once elegant and astounding with its 3-tier vistas. Dine on one of the upper tiers at least once for an unforgettable view. Diet before you cruise, so you can be at “liberty” to treat yourself on the cruise.

Chefs reviewing the night's preparations

Why are Liberty of the Seas and Royal Caribbean significant to African American cruise patrons? Most cruises depart from Miami to the Western and Eastern Caribbean and these are the routes Liberty of the Seas was designed to service. Last and most importantly, they want and respect our business.
